臺灣地區的社區大學已經愈發蓬勃,各社區大學雖以三大類課程為其發展重心,但部分主事者卻對其核心理念、實踐策略以及課程規劃的價值內涵不甚瞭解,或出現認知與執行上的歧見,以致於在推展其課程方面,產生不少理想與現實面的落差,更呈顯當前成人教育課程在理論和實踐上的矛盾,值得加以深入分析與探討。本研究目的有三:一、探究社區大學課程規劃的現況與問題;二、從成人教育課程理論與模式,分析社區大學課程規劃與推動的問題根源與改善之道;三、提出社區大學課程改善之建議,以供相關單位參考。本研究採取論述分析取向的個案分析,並以文件分析法、參與觀察法、訪談法與理論詮釋分析法等研究方法,深入分析社區大學課程規劃與實施的問題及其成因,並透過成人教育課程理論的詮釋與分析,提出課程改革的新觀點與改善策略。
