本文中介紹美國北科羅拉多大學(University of Northrn Colorado)的二位教授 貝特(G.T.Betts)與尼哈特(M.Neihart),特別根據資優生的內在特質所表現的外顯行 為歸納成六大類-成功型、挑戰型、隱藏型、半途而廢型、雙重標記型及獨立自主 型。二氏特別指出此分類乃依據許多資優學生的行為(Behavior)、情感(Feeling)、以 及需求(needs),但不能作為一種鑑定資優生的方式。這些分類中,教師可以看出不同 的資優生有不同的需求,有助於教師運用教學策略及內容,以滿足不同需求的學生, 達到「適性教學」(adaptiveinstruction)的目的。身為資優教師者可取其借鏡之處, 致力於我國資優教育。
