Abstract
研究目的:旨在探討自由球員制度對中華職棒大聯盟的薪資結構和團隊績效的影響。其方法:以2005年至2022年間18個球季的球員薪資數據及球隊的勝率作為研究樣本,透過基尼係數(Gini coefficient)來評估薪資不均的程度,同時使用薪資標準差來衡量薪資差異的大小。運用統計分析軟體SPSS進行回歸分析。研究結果發現:1.實施自由球員制度,加速球員薪資提升。2.制度實施之前,野手的薪資差異與球隊勝率呈正相關。3.制度實施後,團隊薪資分配均衡者績效較佳。結論:中華職棒大聯盟在自由球員制度實施前後,球團利用調控薪資來激勵球員的結果,符合公平理論與競賽理論。通過合理的薪資策略,球隊可以有更好的整體表現,而不僅僅是依賴個別巨星球員的貢獻。
Research Objective: This study aims to investigate the impact of the free agency system on the salary structure and team performance in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL). Methods: Player salary data and team winning percentages from 18 seasons span-ning from 2005 to 2022 are utilized as research samples. The study evaluates the degree of salary inequality using the Gini coefficient and measures the magnitude of salary differences through standard deviation. Regression analysis is conducted using the statistical analysis software SPSS. Findings: 1. The implementation of the free agency system accelerates the increase in player salaries. 2. Before the system was implemented, there was a positive corre-lation between salary disparities among outfielders and team winning percentages. 3. After the system was implemented, teams with more balanced salary distribution exhibited better performance. Conclusion: The CPBL, both before and after the implementation of the free agency system, demonstrates that teams utilize salary regulation to motivate players in line with theories of fairness and competition. Through thoughtful salary strategies, teams can achieve better overall performance, not solely relying on the contributions of individual star players.
