威廉・賀爾斯頓《為低音管與鋼琴的F大調奏鳴曲》之樂曲分析與演奏詮釋

Abstract

本論文旨在探討威廉・馬丁・耶茨・賀爾斯頓 (William Martin Yeates Hurlstone, 1876-1906，以下簡稱賀爾斯頓)《為低音管與鋼琴的F大調奏鳴曲》(Sonata in F Major for Bassoon and Piano)。 賀爾斯頓是一位二十世紀初的英國作曲家與鋼琴家，而這一首作品是浪漫時期為數不多的低音管曲目之一。就目前而言，國內關於賀爾斯頓的文獻記載並不多，對於他的生平及音樂風格也不甚了解。因此，筆者希望藉由深入探究其作曲家的生平貢獻與相關背景，進行樂曲分析與詮釋，並表達個人見解。這將有助於進一步理解與認識作曲家及其作品。全文分為四個章節。第一章為緒論，包含研究動機與目的、研究方法與範圍；第二章探討賀爾斯頓的時代背景，概述作曲家的生平、創作與音樂風格；第三章為《為低音管與鋼琴的F大調奏鳴曲》之樂曲分析與演奏詮釋；第四章則為論文之結語。

This thesis aims to explore William Martin Yeates Hurlstone (1876 -1906) and his"Sonata in F major for Bassoon and Piano." Hurlstone was a British composer and pianist from the early twentieth century, and this piece is considered an important repertoire for bassoonists. Currently, there is limited literature available on Hurlstone, and the general public's understanding of his life and musical style is also limited. Therefore, the author hopes to conduct an analysis and interpretation of the music in this study to express personal insights and delve deeper into the composer's life contributions and relevant background. This endeavor seeks to enhance understanding and recognition of both the composition and the composer.The thesis consists of four chapters. Chapter One serves as an introduction, including the research motivations, objectives, methods, and scope. Chapter Two delves into Hurlstone's background, providing an overview of his life, compositions, and musical style. Chapter Three focuses on the music analysis and performance interpretation of the "Sonatain F major for Bassoon and Piano." Finally, Chapter Four concludes the thesis.
