北部高二自然組學生對於動物使用態度之研究

Abstract

在日常生活中經常會使用到動物,動物福利議題也常引發討論。台灣在99生物課綱訂定時相關動物保護團體曾提出刪除動物活體解剖實驗的建議,減少動物犧牲及學生學習困擾問題。本研究目的在了解北部高二自然組學生對動物使用的態度傾向,反映學生態度現況。本研究採用問卷調查法,以自編之「動物使用態度問卷」為研究工具,立意性取樣台北縣、台北市及基隆市公立高中二年級自然組學生,發出596份問卷,有效問卷576份(含男性男性292人,女性284人)。所得資料以描述性統計、獨立樣本t檢定及單因子變異數分析進行資料處理。研究結果發現學生對動物使用的整體態度偏向正向,性別不同在動物使用的整體態度有顯著性差異(p< .05),而學校類型、實驗經驗、高三選讀類組、未來選讀學群及宗教信仰等變項在整體態度未達顯著性差異,但各分量表表現則略顯不同,且學生已多能考量動物福利及尊重生命之概念。最後依據研究結果加以討論,建議高中生物科教師進行教學時能多注重生命教育及人道使用原則,教育主管機關能多舉行相關研習並開發其他動物材料替代方式,增加教師與學生的選擇性。
Most of us are used to using animals in our life. The issue of animal’s welfare is always discussing around us. When the 99 biology curriculum outline was formulated, the association of animal protection suggested that the frog-dissecting experiment would be cancelled to decrease sacrified animals and to reduce students’ learning confusion. The main focus of this study was to investigate the attitude about animal-using of second grade students in senior high. Self-compiled questionnaire, the attitude questionnaire about animal using, was the study implement. By judgment sampling, the sending-out questionnaire totaled 596 and sampled from second grade students with majoring in science of national senior high in Taipei County, Taipei City, and Keelung City. The valid questionnaires were 576, including 292 males and 284 females.The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent-samples t test, and one-way ANOVA. The result revealed that total students’ attitude tended to positive (agreeing to use animal), and there was significant difference in gender. Other background conditions (school types, experience of experiment, academic groups in third grade, major subject for college, and religion) didn’t show significant differences, but sub-scales presented some differences. Via data collecting, some students expressed the respecting-life concept and caring about animal’s welfare. Based on the results, biological teachers should emphasize the importance of respecting life and using animal with humanity. And the superintendent of education should hole some workshops or develop some substitutes for animal to increase choise of teachers and students. Key words : bioethics, animal use, attitude.
