dc.description.abstract | 聯合國提出永續發展目標(SDGs)號召全球共創永續未來。 | zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | The United Nations has proposed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to urge global collaboration on a sustainable future. Through ongoing integration and refinement repeatedly, the implementation policy on sustainability is established. Recalling on repetition is more than simple duplication or recurrence of things; it also represents the consistency and extension of time. This research elaborates from the subjects of SDGs, echoing the duplication and recurrence behaviors in life through repetitive design manifestation, and furthermore display the accumulation and reflection on societal issues. This study conducts an exploration through literature review, focusingon SDGs, posters and its repetition on related discourse, historical development and forms to summarize. From the content conveyed from the posters, it is then categorized into business, cultural, societal and public welfare, and artistic posters, as well as basic elements of posters like texts, images, colors, and layouts. This research then proceeds with a case study of SDGs and repetition themes using posters from the Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition 2017, International Poster Triennial in Toyama 2021, International Poster Biennial in Mexico 2020, Lahti International Poster Triennial 2020, International Poster Biennale in Warsaw 2021, Taiwan International Graphic Design Award 2021. The following main features are identified: the use of sans-serif fonts as supporting narratives, images often start from concrete elements, utilizing morphological differences between elements to replace or recombine, presenting colors in tertiary colors or multi-color schemes, and arranging layouts mostly by centered or tilted layouts. Five repetition manifestation can be identified based on repetition related literatures:"Proximity", "Similarity", "Closure", "Continuation", "Common Fate". The analysis of posters of repetition concludes that "Similarity" is the most frequently selected repetition manifestation. The suitable principle should be selected based on the theme when using the repetition manifestation to avoid a superficial focus on visual forms. Furthermore, poster creations follow the conclusions drawn from literature study and case analysis, using the 17 goals of the SDGs as the content of the theme and repetition as the manifestation to complete the creation of 17 poster works. The objective is to present a diverse and distinctive visual vocabulary through poster creation, at the same time evoking resonance in the audience to draw their attention to current societal and surrounding issues. | en_US |
