Drawn from the human capital theory, this research adopted a quantitative approach to investigate the relationships among perceived technical vocational education and training, perceived skills acquisition, and perceived employability. The results indicated that perceived technical vocational education and training positively and significantly correlated with perceived skills acquisition and perceived employability. At the same time, perceived employability also significantly and positively correlated with perceived skills acquisition. Additionally, it was identified that perceived employability positively and significantly mediates the relationship between perceived technical vocational education and training and perceived skills acquisition. The findings identified that youths believed that technical vocational education and training could enhance unskilled and skilled youths with employability skills by acquiring the necessary skills and know-how from vocational programs offered at the technical institutes, including the tertiary level. These acquired skills are deemed transferrable assets to the workplace of their selected field. Based on the findings, it was recommended that youths be provided career guidance and counseling to assist them in making informed decisions about career opportunities and link their program selection to their career path.en_US
