大學出版社數位出版模式之研究

Abstract

資訊科技的侵襲已是全球化的態勢，網際網路的普及與檔案數位化的演進，促進數位閱讀習慣的成型。在數位閱讀帶動下，數位出版的需求也引發浪潮。大學出版社在學術出版的領域中，以具學術價值的出版為使命，依據其特有的定位與嚴謹的編審制度，發展出具一定質量的出版品；其中，在數位形式的出版中，以線上資料庫、電子書、電子期刊和資料庫光碟為主要數位出版品。目前大學出版社在數位出版的發展上，以國外的大學出版社為先進，其相關的出版模式、發展情形都得以為相關業者之借鏡，頗具研究之重要性。 發展數位出版的大學出版社眾多，本研究以同業中頗具領導之姿的五所大學出版社為研究對象，應用Porter提出的價值鏈為分析架構，藉由網頁觀察與文獻分析，探討大學出版社數位出版現況與模式，並比較不同地區的大學出版社在數位出版價值活動上的異同，以其研究發現提供相關業者和政府建議。 本研究結論以「內容創作」、「出版加值」、「數位流通」、「設備使用」與「服務」為主要價值活動分析；而在輔助價值活動方面，則包含「採購」、「技術發展」、「人力資源」、和「企業設施」等四項。不同地區的出版差異也呈現在研究中，現階段歐美地區大學出版社數位出版發展以實用目的和使用者導向為主；大陸地區的大學出版社則以典藏性和技術導向為發展。相較之下，歐美地區發展較為成熟，預期未來將會出現更豐富多元的數位出版品。 研究建議相關業者，對政府單位應積極提出研究計畫爭取資金贊助，對校內單位應尋求資源的整合，並鼓勵學術發表、開拓稿源。政府建議部分，則可提供專款補助，以期帶動學術出版的蓬勃。Information technology storm is a global trend. Digital reading has been forming a habit for Internet popular and file digital. The University Press always treats the learning science value as its mission and has the specialty of digital publishing with this hot wave. This study is working based on case study and researches the overseas Universities’ digital publishing status through observing homepage and analyzing reference, finally to conclude the digital publishing pattern for a University Press. This research found the digital publishing value action can be divided into major activity and support activity. Nowadays on-line database, E-books, E-journals, and CD-ROM are the major digital publishing. The digital publishing development now of European’s University Presses are focusing on user and practical functions; China ones are centering on reservation and techniques purposes. Comparing these two areas, European development is more mature and maybe has richer and more diversifications in the future. Digital publishing must be a trend for publishing industry. This research would like to provide the overseas University Presses’ digital development for our internal reference and regarding as a mirror.
