製造業轉型觀光工廠之可行性探析－以圓夢鑽石切磨工廠為例

Abstract

背景與動機：鑽石的閃耀動人來自於切磨工廠的專業加工，但是礙於鑽石產業的封閉性，鮮少有人知道臺灣是有專業鑽石切磨工廠的存在。在國際景氣低迷的影響下，鑽石的末端銷售出現嚴重萎縮，連帶影響到整個鑽石產業，甚至造成鑽石切磨工廠面臨停工的困境。目的：有鑑於此，本研究欲以鑽石切磨工廠為研究對象，依照經濟部所推動的觀光工廠輔導計畫的條例與相關觀光工廠之文獻，探究鑽石切磨工廠轉型觀光工廠之可行性。方法：本研究採半結構式訪談，依照觀光工廠輔導條例為根據，以轉型為鑽石觀光工廠為目標，並以相關之業者作為訪談對象。結果：透過與學者專家、同行業者對觀光工廠輔導條例中的五項評選標準進行訪談，在綜整所有訪談者的建議後，發現鑽石切磨工廠應朝向精緻性的工坊進行調整，設計提供遊客鑽石的知識與文化教育、體驗切磨鑽石行程與鑽石首飾販售，其轉型之可行性是非常高的。Diamond cutting factories can produce varieties of diamonds. It is, however, barely known that here is a diamond cutting factory in Taiwan since the factory has been undisclosed from the past. The current decline of a diamond industry caused by the economic downturn has brought a great crisis towards the entire industry. The attention of this situation serves as the background for this study, whereby the feasibility of transforming the diamond cutting factory into a tourist destination is discussed. This study adopts the Tourism Factory Regulations of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the related documents for an academic analysis. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with professionals in the relevant positions including scholars and the owners of the industry. The questions were constructed based on the tourism factory guidance regulations and they were categorized in five selections. The result of interviews showed that the diamond cutting factory should be remodeled in a small and delicate factory that can provide visitors with educational and cultural experiences such as learning about diamonds or their cutting processes. The transformation of the factory may also promote diamond jewelry sales. Therefore, it can be said that the feasibility of transforming the diamond cutting factory into a tourist destination is very high.
