Abstract
默示教學法的創始人是加特諾博士(Dr. Caleb Gattegno)。加特諾博士相信只有在學習者自己想要學習的情況下，學習才能有成效。默示法的教學原則含有「教師沉默」、「學習者為中心」、「同儕學 習」等，且強調發展學習者的認知能力是教學的第一要務。筆者曾有機會接受此法有關訓練，茲就其中有關「時間概念」的教學實例提供經驗，供教師參考。學習者 在學習時間概念時，須能從簡單的報時開始，進而描述他們每天的活動作息。學習者在本階段也必須學習英語的現在簡單式、進每式、現在完成式。教師每堂課的教 授以「概念」為鋹，而一個概念可能涵蓋數個句型。教學的設計必須能建立學習?的語言認能力，因此，教學的順序在本法中乃佔有其相堂重要的地位，教師必須小 必設計教學的順序，使學習達到最有效的成果。本文提供默示教學在教「時間概念」時實地的教學順序，以提供對此教學法有興趣的老師參考。
This Silent Way teaching method was founded by Dr. Caleb Gattegno. He believes that learning only takes place when learners want to learn. The principles associated with this method include "teacher's silence," "learner-centered," and "peer learning," with the most important priority in learning being the development of the learner's cognition. This author has been instructed in the Silent Way approach. The purpose of this paper is to provide readers with an example of one teaching experience, instructing children in time concepts, using the Silent Way method. Learning time concepts means that learners should be able to tell the time, and be able to describe the events happening in their daily lives. For learners to able to describe times associated with daily activities, they needs to be able to use the simple present, present progressive, and present perfect tenses. Teaches teach each lesson by introducing a concept, and each concept might involve a few sentence structures. Teaching is designed to build the learners' language cognition; therefore, the teaching sequence is very important and is carefully planned to meet the learners' needs.
