臺灣始政紀念繪葉書文化意涵之研究（1905-1935）

Abstract

本文討論「始政紀念繪葉書」於1905年至1935年之文化意涵，釐清始政紀念繪葉書的時空背景為何；並探討總督府如何生產和製作繪葉書，而且在每年的6月17日的始政紀念日夜會上，贈送繪葉書。當時報紙屢見始政紀念繪葉書即將發售的報導，郵局裡放置繪葉書樣本提供民眾參考。官方發行各種紀念繪葉書，由於政治宣傳的目的，強調「視覺性」，始政紀念繪葉書是攝影和美術設計的結合。1905年逢日俄戰爭剛結束，愛國心高漲的日本人希望藉著繪葉書，傳遞戰爭前線的狀況，「郵趣」熱潮被帶動。殖民地臺灣受郵趣熱潮和來臺畫家的影響，繪葉書蒐集這件事逐漸被大眾所重視，總督府搭載蒐集熱潮，邀請石川欽一郎等名家設計繪葉書，將繪葉書送至內地東京印刷，欲增加其藝術價值。

以「始政紀念」為主題的繪葉書具有強烈政治性，除了政治意涵以外，這一主題繪葉書的數量有多少呢？一共21套47張，它們具有那些文化意涵呢？本文主要的發現有三：其一，「西方藝術的窗口」，水彩畫作為明治維新中一環被引入日本，始政紀念繪葉書上展示的繪畫讓殖民地人民認識洋畫。其二，「增加生活趣味」，集郵愛好者組織臺北的繪葉書交換會、俱樂部及郵卷俱樂部等，交換或購買繪葉書。其三，「反映一地郵政利用程度」，根據《臺灣日日新報》的報導，臺北、臺南繪葉書銷售量領先其他地區，除兩地的經濟發展高於殖民地其他地區外，銷售量高的原先也可能和郵政利用程度有關。This article discusses " initial political anniversaries postcard" in 1905-1935 of cultural meaning, to clarify history of the initial political anniversaries postcard ; and explore Governor how to produce and the production of postcard, and every year on June 17 memorial day and night at the initial political anniversaries, giving postcard.
