依據托倫斯的看法,資優班教師須於教學時,注意自我開創、自我改進 並自我評鑑。資優班教師應有的特質正可做為自我評鑑的參照,本文從人格 、知識與能力、態度等三方面討論資優班教師的特質及其重點。至於資優班 教師的培養方案可針對教師所需具備的能力或特質加以配合,重點在:1.基本 教育的準備,2.獨立探究能力的培養,3.教師對特殊兒童意義的了解,4.培養 獻身資優教育的精神,5.資優教育的專業訓練,6.給予設計資優教育課程的直 接經驗,7.教育實習的實施。此外,未來資優教育師資的訓練,促進人際關係 的技能亦應列入重點。
