Abstract

本研究創作聚焦於二十一世紀數位資訊時代與成熟的資本主義社會,形成的獨特生存面貌與心理狀態。青年世代在經濟獨立後,為了面對已開發國家的社會與經濟問題,包括低薪、高物價、高房價、過度生產等,自我調適且吸收了多元的資訊與觀念,進而形塑出不同於上世代的未來人生規劃,反映在目標、居住地、勞動就業、情感歸屬等各層面上,注重當下與關照自身生、心理,進而產生多元的生存面貌。筆者使用灰濁色調喚起消極、低限度的安逸氛圍,通過建構虛構角色與敘事情節重新看見隱藏在日常下、不易注意的感受。以繪畫反覆堆疊的勞動性,回應此緩慢、專注的過程,是疾速變化的當代社會缺乏並渴求的,並通過創作圖像在虛構角色、筆者與觀者,達到不同角度的「出走」狀態。藉由藝術史脈絡的時空分節,分析藝術家如何詮釋居住於都市的群體,受資本經濟系統的變動而影響心理。再闡述連續圖像中的敘事與當代娛樂的關係,提出兩種常見型態——漫畫與迷因——對本創作的影響,並舉例說明視線流動經驗對於作品的關鍵作用。以社會學角度切入全球已開發國家共同出現的反動現象,從東亞圈再到臺灣,在社群媒體上瀰漫放棄、低慾望、承認無能等喪氣氛圍。而後說明創作觀點、元素、手法,包含多個圖格並置的象徵與穿插意義、線性與非線性敘事,及分析雜訊元素,並且梳理2020年開始至今的創作脈絡與媒材實踐過程,確立風格與解析作品內容以及展覽呈現。最後加以總結,檢視研究目的、反思及未來展望。
This research focuses on the unique survival features and psychological states that have emerged in the digital information era of the 21st century within mature capitalist societies. After achieving economic independence, the younger generation faces social and economic issues in developed countries, including low wages, high commodity prices, high housing costs, and overproduction. They adapt by absorbing diverse information and ideas, thereby shaping future life plans that differ from the previous generation. These plans are reflected in their goals, living locations, employment, and emotional affiliations, emphasizing the present and self-care in both physical body and mental, which lead to diversity of survival appearances.The author uses muted gray tones to evoke a passive, minimally comfortable atmosphere and revisits the unnoticed feelings hidden in daily life through the construction of fictional characters and narratives. The repetitive labor involved in painting responds to this slow, concentrated process, which is lacking in and desired by the rapidly changing contemporary society. Through the created images, fictional characters, the author, and the viewers achieve an “exit” from different perspectives.Through an art historical lens, this research examines how artists interpret urban dwellers affected by capitalist economic shifts. Then, it explores the relation between sequential imagery and contemporary entertainment, especially comics and memes which effect the artistic creation of this research. The analysis delves into the collective resignation and low desires visible on social media in developed regions, included from East Asia to Taiwan. Furthermore, explain the artistic creation approaches, elements, and techniques, such as symbolic frame juxtapositions, linear and non-linear narratives. It outlines the creative developments since 2020, engaged in style establishment and exhibition as well. At last, it concludes by evaluating the research goals, reflections, and future prospect.
